I love how conveniently the Journal locations are. Its right outside a tram stop and we're only a 5 minute walk to the main campus of the University of Melbourne. Restaurants can be found easily nearby so we don’t have to worry about going hungry.

What I like best about Journal is the atmosphere, it is always welcoming and friendly. It is designed to encourage community building with multiple communal spaces which have an emphasis on group activities.

I chose a Studio with my own bathroom and kitchen. It is a good idea to choose a studio if you don’t want to share your kitchen with anyone else. I like the TV in front of my bed because there is nothing better than getting comfy and watching TV.

I chose a shared apartment at Journal. Each room has an individual bedroom and a bathroom but we shared the living room and kitchen together. It is good to have roommates and talk about uni days when we cook in the common areas together.

I love the sense of community at Journal, the staff and students are so friendly and welcoming! I was able to make friends within the first few days of moving here. I really like my room, it’s super cosy! There are so many spaces at Journal the best being the rooftop terrace and shared kitchen.

The best things about Journal are the people, social spaces and events - I’ve made a lot of new friends through the different activities they’ve put on. Also the location for me is perfect because the City and Uni Melb are in walking distance.
