Testimonials

From our students

I chose a shared apartment at Journal. Each room has an individual bedroom and a bathroom but we shared the living room and kitchen together. It is good to have roommates and talk about uni days when we cook in the common areas together.

I chose a Studio with my own bathroom and kitchen. It is a good idea to choose a studio if you don’t want to share your kitchen with anyone else. I like the TV in front of my bed because there is nothing better than getting comfy and watching TV.

Ricky, Commerce
  • University of Melbourne

The staff go above and beyond to make sure the other residents and I feel safe and comfortable at Journal. They are always helpful and friendly whenever I need any assistance from them.

Adil, Bachelor of Science- Electrical Systems
  • University of Melbourne

I love how conveniently the Journal locations are. Its right outside a tram stop and we're only a 5 minute walk to the main campus of the University of Melbourne. Restaurants can be found easily nearby so we don’t have to worry about going hungry.

Abigail, Bachelor of Biomedicine
  • University of Melbourne

The best things about Journal are the people, social spaces and events - I’ve made a lot of new friends through the different activities they’ve put on. Also the location for me is perfect because the City and Uni Melb are in walking distance.

Sam, Bachelor of Science
  • University of Melbourne

What I like best about Journal is the atmosphere, it is always welcoming and friendly. It is designed to encourage community building with multiple communal spaces which have an emphasis on group activities.

A guest is defined as someone who stays with you in the facility between the hours of 10 pm and 9 am, and they must have obtained a guest pass.

If the resident is under 18 (U18), only pre-approved immediate family or caregivers allow to visit or stay with you.

We encourage you to let us know your preference when making the booking.
