Authentically Melbourne

Live like a local

Journal offers a unique living experience and we want to give everyone studying in Melbourne we the most authentic local experience possible. That’s why every part of Journal is inspired by the city’s local surrounds, from the design and gardens to the community life program. Journal is your new home, and we can’t wait to share it with you.

I chose a Studio with my own bathroom and kitchen. It is a good idea to choose a studio if you don’t want to share your kitchen with anyone else. I like the TV in front of my bed because there is nothing better than getting comfy and watching TV.

What I like best about Journal is the atmosphere, it is always welcoming and friendly. It is designed to encourage community building with multiple communal spaces which have an emphasis on group activities.

I chose a shared apartment at Journal. Each room has an individual bedroom and a bathroom but we shared the living room and kitchen together. It is good to have roommates and talk about uni days when we cook in the common areas together.

I love how conveniently the Journal locations are. Its right outside a tram stop and we're only a 5 minute walk to the main campus of the University of Melbourne. Restaurants can be found easily nearby so we don’t have to worry about going hungry.
