I love how conveniently Journal Uni Place is located. We are right outside a tram stop that is within the Free Tram Zone of the city and are only 15 minutes walk from the main campus of the University of Melbourne. Restaurants can be found easily nearby so we don’t have to worry about going hungry.

I stay in a Studio with my own bathroom and kitchen. I have cooked some delicious food since I moved in. It is a good idea to choose a studio if you don’t want to share your kitchen with anyone else. I like the TV in front of my bed because there is nothing better than getting comfy and watching TV.

I currently live in a Six-Bed Ensuite Apartment. Each room has an individual bedroom and a bathroom but we share the living room and kitchen together. It is good to have roommates and talk about uni days when we cook in the common areas together.

I live in a four-bedroom apartment – we have a huge TV for movie nights and a window seat that looks out over the city! I have a cosy room with ensuite and desk. It’s the perfect balance between living with a great group of friends and still having private space for study and downtime.

I love the sense of community at Journal, the staff and students are so friendly and welcoming! I was able to make friends within the first few days of moving here. I really like my room, it’s super cosy! There are so many spaces at Journal the best being the rooftop terrace and shared kitchen.

The best things about Uni Place are the people, social spaces and events - I’ve made a lot of new friends through the different activities they’ve put on. Also the location for me is perfect because the City and Uni Melb are in walking distance.

The location is amazing – it’s really close to where I study at the University of Melbourne. There’s loads of things to do around Carlton and the city. All the common spaces are modern and cool – there’s so many to choose from.

My room is really cozy and I love the pinboard that is part of our study table. It really allows us to personalise our space. The ensuite bathroom is also designed really well to give sufficient space for showering and also storing our necessities.
